Questions About Tcu Rose Bowl

Charles asks…

Why is TCU in the Rose Bowl this year?

It was my understanding that unless the Rose Bowl is serving as the National Championship Game, the matchup will be between a Pac-10 and a Big-10 school. So why is TCU, a Mountain West school, in this year's Rose Bowl?

admin answers:

It was a stipulation in the Rose Bowl contract. At the first opportunity between this year and 2014, if they lost one of their automatic tie-ins to the BCS title game, they had to fill the opening with an eligible non-automatic qualifier.

Thomas asks…

What was the song played before the TCU vs. Wisconsin Rose Bowl?

There was a song they played briefly before the game started where they showed the band playing and also highlights of the 2 teams. I think it has "believe" somewhere in the title. I thought it was a cool song and made a mental note to buy it, but now I can't remember what it's called. Any help?

admin answers:

I believe its "Something to believe in (Jeremiah) " By Parachute. Hope this helps.

Laura asks…

TCU Rose bowl champs playoff?

With the "little guy" winning the rose bowl does it raise anyone's want for a playoff instead of this BCS crap

admin answers:

Yes, it does.

Betty asks…

Rose Bowl (TCU/Wisconsin) Predictions? Which other Bowl games look good?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVAZXZfIlNk

I think it will be one of the best Bowl matchups. TCU has a beast of a Defense, and Patterson is a great coach. Plus people seem to overlook what Dalton has done on Offense.

That said.. Wisconsin has hands down the best run game in the country, and Tolzein is probably the best QB in the Big 10 ( though Dan Persa might argue with that). And their Defense is no slouch either. JJ Watts is playing like Donkey Kong Suh this year. Not bad for a walk on.

My Prediction:

but only after a heck of a fight.

BQ- Which Bowl game(s) are you most looking forward to?

(Nat Champ, Rose Bowl and Sun Bowl for me. Also really curious how Stanford will do against VT)

To quote monty python:

Its not a question of how he GRIPS it...It's a simple matter of weight ratios! A five-ounce bird cannot carry a one pound coconut!

Translation: the badger rb's are about the size of the d-line on tcu. Wisc. O-line manhandles the smaller frogs. Tolzein helps them get ahead, then clay puts the nail in the coffin
and like you said, the badger defense is great as well
you have to remember that the badgers have 3 rbs who could all be starters at most d-1 schools

other bowls: Gator bowl...michigan vs miss. State
Outback Bowl...Mich State vs Bama (sparty needs to prove that he deserved to go bcs)
NC
also fiesta bowl...its gonna be soo funny to see the big easy rep (uconn) get absolutely annihilated
