Questions About Jenny Mccarthy Baby Book

Michael asks…

Has anyone read Jenny McCarthy's mommy hood books Belly and Baby laughs.?

I was just wondering if you have read eather of these books and what you think about their content.
did it scare anyone who thought they want to have a baby, some parts made me think twice about the hole pregnancy thing.

I read 'Belly Laughs' and I LOVED it! It was so dead-on, and honestly her and I think/act alike in so many ways. I will probably read it over and over again, it was hilarious. I'll get 'Baby Laughs' when I have the baby, no need to spoil it already :)

(Don't be scared about pregnancy or delivery, they're temporary, natural and BEAUTIFUL!)

Maria asks…

What are the best sites, books and what-not for researching childhood vaccines?

I'm not one to jump in line immediately to get vaccinated for anything.

So, now that I have my baby girl and she goes for her first round of vaccines this December, I want to research them all and get some perspective as to what she's being injected with and possible side effects etc...

What are some valuable sites that give honoured researched information? Is the Jenny McCarthy book worth reading?

I like Haruhi's list.

and

http://www.medalerts.org is an easier way to search the VAERS database.

Here is the recommended vaccine schedule, which the vast majority of doctors follow unless the parent objects to it and insists on something different. Http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules/downloads/child/2009/09_0-6yrs_schedule_pr.pdf
Compare that with this, http://www.generationrescue.org/pdf/cdc1983.pdf the 1983 vaccine schedule. Were parents in 1983 living in constant fear of their babies dying from horrible diseases because they lacked access to all the additional vaccines available now? I very much doubt it.

Did you know vaccines are not required for daycare or school? You can get an exemption in 48 states. Http://mothering.com/discussions/showthread.php?t=953402
