Chris asks…
Would this hair be high maintenance?
I REALLY don't want to spend the time blowing my hair out in the morning (freshman in high school) I LOVE this cut- I think its soo sophisticated and chic-but my mom keeps telling me my hair will curl and it'll look awful if I don't blow it out. Also- she keeps telling me hair straighteners are harder to use then a blow dryer (i don't believe her) True or False?
P.S. I'ev always had gross long hair- and I HATE it. Absolutely HATE it.

I recommend a hair straightener! This cut will be good and not hard to maintain if you use a straighener every morning on it, which shouldnt even take 10 minutes.
I like to shower before bed and let it dry while I sleep, then I straighten my hair in the morning. Its very simple, and with that shorter hairstyle it will be real easy to straighten (especially if your hair is NOT curly, in which case it will take you a while to straighten)

I cant see where you mom got the straightener vs blow dryer thing. I think straighteners are easier bc you barely have to do anything, you just clamp and smooth lol.
Anyway, that does look high maintnence bc it has body and shape, notice how is doesnt lie flat against her haid and its not messy. It looks like she (or more likely her stylist) used a barrel brush and blow dryer
Sandy asks…
Should I go to a trendy salon or an offbeat salon for a new hairstyle?
I have had my hair long for ten years, and I am finally ready to get a cute short cut (think Jenny McCarthy-style). I don't know whether to shell out the extra money and go to a well-known, trendy salon in the city, or stay close to town and pay less to go to a lesser-known place. The lesser-known place may still do a great job, I just don't know if I should risk it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I guarantee nobody is going to say "it's your hair, no big deal. Just go to a cheap place"

thats about what my hair look like,

That depends on if you want bangs or not. I'm actually trying to grow mine out so they're the same length as my hair. By what you've said, I'm assuming you want bangs. In that case, yes, you should get them cut. Just make sure they don't get all over your face and in your eyes like mine did :)
