Why was Rodney Atkins' 1997 album never released??

From the information I was able to dig through, it all pretty much says the same thing. That he was working on the album in 1977 but was not happy with it. At the time he was signed by Curb records, they gave him some creative freedom to work with other people but he spent two years and it was never produced. Not much on the specifics as to why he was not happy with it but since he produced his last album on his own in his own studio, it may just be that he wanted some control over his own music, though that is only an assumption on my part.

Hey everyone, just recently i was downloading a Rodney Atkins album and the message box came up saving do you want to save this file/open, i chose save, and then it tried opening the folder file with windows media player? What can i do to start opening the folder files to limewire for download again?
I tried open also and it came up trying to use windows media player to open it, also, im strapped to ther gills with protection, im not getting a virus, i have peer gaurdian also to hide my IP

As far as I recall they talk about the guy as he's some kind of bum or man living on the road, but it's actually their dad if i recall correctly. I haven't head the song since my old man played it on his cassettes back in the early 90's. He's not around to verify or deny anything tho.

I read 'Belly Laughs' and I LOVED it! It was so dead-on, and honestly her and I think/act alike in so many ways. I will probably read it over and over again, it was hilarious. I'll get 'Baby Laughs' when I have the baby, no need to spoil it already :)

I started learning five months back and learnt all the basic chords n bare beginner stuff and i want to get better.... thanks for helping me out

The only real way to get better is to work at it. DVDs, magazines and books can all be helpful in unlocking new techniques. Play along with the CD when you practice a song. Seek out other players and play with them. You can learn a lot just by playing with others. This is how it gets done, if you are learning on your own. If you need a structured "road map", seek a professional instructor and take lessons.

It all depends on your voice and what key you sing in . To be honest I don't think the lyrics are right yet , it's too long , and it doesn't really seem to have any sort of structure or rhyming pattern . I think you should rewrite it .

Is it normal for my thumb to get tired when playing lots of bar chords?

It gets really stressed...I feel like I'm pushing down on the back of the fretboard really hard with my thumb in order to be able to hold every string down with my index finger. I'm just a beginner, so I'd like to learn this correctly before I get too far down the road. Thank you

Yeah that happens, and unfortunently it really doesn't go away.

Because of the tension, the pain that results doesn't go away with more stregnth in your thumb or callasses like your fingers. That's just a part of it.

Eventually you'll get kinda used to it and be able to play through it.

Guitarists have a high percentage of artheritus in the thumb, so careful.


But there's nothing you can do to stop it, in order to hold the strings down you must push hard enough with your finger, which means by newtons 3rd law of motion that you must push back equally the other way with your thumb.

Aerosmith overated?its true back in the saddle kicked ass & their latter songs r commercial but crazy is good?

To be truly considered great, the span of their career needs to be great. Latter on aerosmith did a lot of promotion in attaching their names to stuff and wrote commercial friendly song because their company didn't think their songs will have radio play. And they also hired song doctors. So ppl view them as ran out of idea & sold out. Music connoisseurs dimiss all aerosmith stuff not in toys in the attic & rocks. But sometimes i think ppl base what is good on how raw they were (instead of the later polish sound) and how esoteric the songs were. I think crazy is a good song. Great harmonica to start the song, great singing (tyler's voice has the same feel as a harmonica) especially the falsetto in the end. It is very middle of the road, safe rock. The guitar isn't anything not done before & can be viewed as dull/uninpiring, but you know what it sounds pretty good. Most pop songs are love songs. So ppl think love songs are overdone. But that doesn't mean its a crime to write love songs. and love songs should be viewed as inferior. Personally, i think writing a decent commercial song isn't that easy. We can't really put crazy on the same scale as pop rock songs that use a few chords & the selling point is the quirkiness. its better. But I do agree aerosmith have been riding on their past fame for awhile. But they wrote some great songs that most bands can't do so you can't say they are overated. And i guess I am Just trying to say the success of crazy came back to bite it. But it really is a decent song & that was post 70s aerosmith.

Why do things like this always hit you on cold Mondays?

I just finished doing a search on YA and there are a whole lot of posts about Dan Fogelberg's passing, and I actually read through most of them and the majority, like me, have been very touched by him over the years. I actually posted a message on YA last night around 11:00 after I read about it while I was online. I can't even imagine a world without him and any new music that I'm sure he would have written. Fortunately we will always have the music he did create while he was with us. My younger years are filled with memories of his incredible music. I don't really remember exactly how or where I "discovered" him - I like to think he discovered me. He so touched me. Even though I didn't know him personally, I feel like he knew me because the way he wrote was just the way I thought and felt. His kind of talent is almost non-existent anymore. As far as I'm concerned, he is one of the most gifted and talented artists of my generation. Such a beautiful human being. The world is less now. My heart is hurting.

I've seen astounding progress made with autistic individuals with many different therapies. I'm very skeptical of anyone being "cured" of autism. I'm not saying it isn't possible. But according to my research, it's very unlikely.

What do people have against autism and Asperger's?

Did you think the human race stopped evolving during the Victorian Era? There's more evidence that points to evolution than creationism. I know because I minored in anthropology, and I've studied fossils of prehistoric homosapiens. Why do people insist that autism can be cured? Why do they want to rid it from the gene pool? I think Jenny McCarthy is trying to gain publicity because she doesn't want to be remembered as some Playboy bunny men got their jollies off to. That's what I think her real agenda is. Why can't people appreciate the good qualities rather than focus on the negative? I've been wondering this since I was diagnosed with Asperger's at age 19. The world's most renowned expert, Tony Attwood, stated he believed the world would be a better place if we all had Asperger's. Why do people insist that we face extinction before we're taken off the endangered species list?

I think people are ignorant about what Autism Spectrum Disorders are. I also think that the family of conditions known as ASD is large, diverse and under researched. So the people living with the condition actually know much more about it than any of the professionals ranged up to treat it.

It is not a "sexy" disorder. It leads to challenging social behaviours, it is not terminal and it comes in a wide range of severity's and with wide ranging "symptoms" so people find it easy to dismiss many sufferers as "bad kids" or "special ed kids"

Einstein was an Asberger's sufferer. So was Da Vinci and Patton.Many extraordinary people in history have had ASD. It is not so much a learning DISABILITY as a learning DIFFERENCE and many small minded people are unable to get their tiny brains around a distinction that fine, is all.

What causes autism and Asperger's?

Some nimrod earlier this evening told me autism is not hereditary. He made some other crass remarks, too. Like he's just such an authority! Jenny McCarthy claims to be an expert who found the cure! Don't even get me started on Denis Leary, either. So if it's not hereditary, then what causes it? It sure as hell isn't mercury. That has never been confirmed. There have been extensive tests done on mercury and they only thing the real experts who had their ducks in a row confirmed was that it causes asthma. The asthma rates around coal-fired plants are staggering. That is hard substantial evidence. I love the way the other charlatans claim it's from gluten and wheat. If that was the case, then half the world would be autistic. Wheat is one of the most common crops around the world along with corn and rice. Many of these self-righteous curebies claimed it's from the vaccinations. After they spewed out their propaganda, many parents objected to having their kids vaccinated. Since then, there's been a massive resurgence of the measles. I'm sure Jenny McCarthy forgot to mention that part. So if it isn't genetics, then what the hell causes it? If someone knows the answer and can prove it to me, then please do tell!

There are so many theories, but I was talking to a friend of mine who is a counselor for kids with autism and Asperger's. She has Asperger's herself. She told me that they did not know for sure, but if your father was over 40 when you are conceived, it increases your chances. She also told me that the vaccination theory has been debunked.
The rates are the same in the kids who were not vaccinated. Maybe there are more older fathers these days?

Oprah Winfrey thinks her viewers are smarter than Newsweek magazine's most recent cover story implies.

The talk show queen responded to the magazine's article that condemned the medical advice given by some of her guests, according to Us. Winfrey said she's not endorsing any method, but rather putting out information for her viewership to consider.

"For 23 years, my show has presented thousands of topics that reflect the human experience, including doctors' medical advice and personal health stories that have prompted conversations between our audience members and their health care providers," Winfrey said in a statement. "I trust the viewers, and I know that they are smart and discerning enough to seek out medical opinions to determine what may be best for them."

The article — which sports the headline "Crazy Talk: Oprah, Wacky Cures & You" on the cover — takes Winfrey to task for offering medical tips on her show that the magazine suggests are ineffective and possibly dangerous. While the article praises Winfrey's health and fitness experts Dr. Mehmet Oz and trainer Bob Green, it's particularly critical of such celebrity guests as Suzanne Somers and Jenny McCarthy, who advocated taking 60 daily supplements and avoiding vaccinations out of fear that they cause autism, respectively. The article suggests that Winfrey fails to challenge these guests and their ideas on her show.

A personis allowed to promote anything they like. Some of oprah's promotions are indeed, helathy, and others, not so much.

My biggest concern is when she went out and gave "medical advice" when she was not in any way qualified to do so. That could be a legal problem.

When a country do not want journalist in their country, that's from any nation then they have something to hide. I think it is about as ruthless and evil as one can get. I suspect he was beaten up because he's a dick. I'd gladly beat him up, and not because he's gay. It would be a hate-crime, but not of that kind.

From what I've read of it, the attackers were pro mubarak people. It's possible that they wanted the rest of the world to believe the protesters were violent and deserved to be arrested and stopped. Attacking the journalist would be an effective way of giving that impression.
