Yours is easy, since the Macarena remix from Los Del Rio was dominating the charts from August 3 all the way to November 2, 1996.

Ok here is a great source of places to look up what you are talking about... I did find a lot of options of what you may be talking about... Here are the lyrics of one

FORT MINOR LYRICS

"Where'd You Go?"

Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.

She said "Some days I feel like shit,
Some days I wanna quit, and just be normal for a bit,"
I don't understand why you have to always be gone,
I get along but the trips always feel so long,
And, I find myself trying to stay by the phone,
'Cause your voice always helps me to not feel so alone,
But I feel like an idiot, workin' my day around the call,
But when I pick up I don't have much to say,
So, I want you to know it's a little fucked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', at times debatin',
Tellin' you that I've had it with you and your career,
Me and the rest of the family here singing "Where'd you go?"

I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...

You know the place where you used to live,
Used to barbecue up burgers and ribs,
Used to have a little party every Halloween with candy by the pile,
But now, you only stop by every once and a while,
Shit, I find myself just fillin' my time,
With anything to keep the thought of you from my mind,
I'm doin' fine, I plan to keep it that way,
You can call me if you find that you have something to say,
And I'll tell you, I want you to know it's a little fucked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', at times debatin',
Tellin' you that I've had it with you and your career,
Me and the rest of the family here singing "Where'd you go?"

I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...

I want you to know it's a little fucked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', no longer debatin',
Tired of sittin' and hatin' and makin' these excuses,
For why you're not around, and feeling so useless,
It seems one thing has been true all along,
You don't really know what you've got 'til it's gone,
I guess I've had it with you and your career,
When you come back I won't be here and you can sing it...

Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...
Please come back home...
Please come back home...
Please come back home...
Please come back home...

@Pretty Irish Girl, actually I don't I work 5 days a week
Im not a big fan of 90's and 00's music
I added All Eyez On Me by Tupac, because that album brings back some very cool memories. These are all albums that are I find Incredible yes I know I have gone for the most famous but they are the best ones in my opinion.
@Darth, only 5? I would love to see your list.
I would just like to say thanks for the comments. And I don't mind the criticism, I welcome it :)
Lol I would have every Dylan album on here if I could EVEN saved and that is poor album. I do have 3 Dylan album's in the top 10 though :)

admin answers:

Music was made before 1965, after 1990, by people outside of the U.S. And the U.K. Not all music has guitars. Some music is electronic. Some music has rapping. Some music is instrumental. Some music is noise or atonal or completely improvised. With a few exceptions (and relatively obvious choices they are), your list does not reflect that at all.

I suppose that sounds meaner than I intended. To put it more politely, your list is rather limited in it's scope, and what you do have happens to both be extremely popular and generally uninteresting to me. It's a fine obvious list, but I would recommend exploring music further.

Good to see Robert Johnson, less good to see Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc.

By the way, if you enjoy Robert Johnson, there are countless other country-bluesmen from the 1920s and 1930s that you would probably enjoy. If you enjoy Miles Davis, you'd probably enjoy other bop musicians. Same thing with Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder. Perhaps you do listen to more soul, jazz, reggae, and blues than appear on this list, and you just happen to prefer the most obvious choices, but it seems likely that you haven't yet explored many genres of music outside of the most obvious choices. A little effort, and you can find a lot of great music and make your list more interesting.

Mem(ories Can't Wait): Trivial, but smooth jazz was first made in the 1970s.
