WTF? No. He was beat up by Mubarak's thugs because he doesn't want the rest of the world to see what he's doing to all the people who were trying to peacefully protest. How do you even know Anderson cooper is a Christian? I'm pretty sure he's never said his religion (and he's gay).

No. Other journalists, including Arab journalists were also attacked today. Basically, journalists were being attacked for exposing the Mubarak thugs.

I wanna say that this is funny, but someone getting hurt isn't so I guess I will say it is ironic. It's like the animal rights activists who loved bears so much he went to live amongst them and he got mauled. Cooper, someone who is clearly a leftist, goes to capture footage among the downtrodden protesters of Egypt and they turn on him.
