College GameDay will begin its 23rd season on September 5, 2009.
All game-time rankings are ESPN/USA Today (Coaches Poll). If a listing is blank, that week's show originated at the ESPN studios. Ohio State has hosted 11 College GameDay broadcasts. Ohio State's record is 9-2, with losses to Texas and Penn State. Florida has hosted 10 College GameDay shows (6-4). Michigan (9; 7-2) is third, while Alabama is fourth with 8 events (2–6). The Gators have appeared in the on-site game the most times (29, winning 19). Ohio State (24) is second in on-site appearances. Florida versus Florida State has been the most-covered matchup, being covered seven times - four times in Gainesville, twice in Tallahassee, and once in the Sugar Bowl.

College GameDay originally was just for football, but the raging and expanding popularity of college basketball led to the initiation of the basketball version of the show.
As of current, only fifteen schools (Boston College, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, and Wisconsin) have hosted College GameDay for both basketball and football events. Clemson and Kansas State will join the list in 2010.

ESPN Radio College Gameday is a day-long talk radio show on ESPN Radio covering the day's college football games. It is heard every Saturday during the season from noon until 7 p.m. ET. Some programs originate from the ESPN studios in Bristol, Connecticut; others are on location from game sites, just like College GameDay on television. The on-location shows are called College GameDay Road Tour.
